An Special Invitation from the Canadian Medical Association
April 2019
Dear albertapatients member,
On behalf of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), we'd like to make you aware of a unique opportunity which may be of interest to you.
On August 12 - 13, 2019, the CMA will hold its second annual Health Summit in Toronto, Ontario. Our theme this year is "Connected in Care". The focus will be to provide a forum in which all relevent stakeholders can connect and engage in collaborative discussions and information sharing. We want to hear from you on how best to integrate services into a high-functioning system of care, foster effective information exchanges, scale up virtual care, and more.
Following the success of last year's inaugural Health Summit, the CMA will be continuing its Patient Program, offering 25 full sponsorships to patient and caregiver attendees. Those who receive full sponsorship will have their registration, travel and accomodation expenses paid in full, in advance. In addition, we will waive the registration fee for an additional 25 patients and caregivers who have not received full sponsorship. All other expenses are not covered.
If you have "lived experience" in the health care system and have information you believe is of value to share, we hope you'll apply. Please click the link below to fill out the application form to tell us why you're interested in attending. We want patients to have a real voice at the summit and a meaningful opportunity to participate in the health care conversation at the national level. An internal CMA selection committee will select the 25 recipients of the full sponsorships and the additional 25 people whose registration fees will be waived. The deadline to apply is May 3, 2019, and you will be notified by June 12, 2019 if your application has been selected.
